The 2015 10 Chances Experimental Artists' Residency is currently being organized.

SUGGESTED DONATION — $50.00

Any amount will make a difference, even as small $10, and please spread throughout your social medias and good ole fashioned word of mouth.

In backing its continued iterations, you are supporting a new residency paradigm that explores the international possibilities of sister-networked concurrent residencies, as well as its proven influence on the greater contemporary art community at home.

Help us support creativity and give artists room to move, above all things!
All proceeds go to artists' stipends and HQ location rental.

Intersecting with local Minneapolis & Scottish art centers such as the Soap Factory, the Walker Art Center, Bindery Projects, Open Field, and Northern Spark; and Scotland institutions such as Edinburgh College of Art, and the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, this residency remains independent of any one institution.

THE PROGRAM:

Every artist receives a stipend, and travel funds if necessary, for their time. (This is based on a European model of economy, where artists receive incomes and commissions which are not solely based on market-value product.)

The Main HQ is a place for collaboration and exchange, social and studio – a working laboratory. Everyone has a key and can use it at all times.

At the end of the residency term, the residents will retreat to their lives. An exhibition outcome, with book, will take place in the Fall, after several months of gestation.

EXCITING FUTURE NEWS

Moving forward, we broaden the residency project internationally to include a concurrent sister residency in Edinburgh UK (the locus of my PhD studies at the Edinburgh College of Art), and so this year's project is quite pivotal — as it brings the first international art residency to Minneapolis! A life long dream of mine.

There are also more opportunities embedded in the 2014 residency structure for y'all to join us for public talks, open studios, and happy hours.

Help give artists room to move!
We humbly thank you for your support in this unique endeavor - - independent of any institution, but intersecting with many - - giving your hard-earned for artists to have a break from the Hustle.

I thank ye!
